  1. Sorry guys, I still haven't been able to sit and have time to do an install of my game. I'm hoping to try again sometime next week.
  2. A tracert will help to identify where the connection is dropping in the ping. With 100% loss, it sounds like a connection issue or issue in a node between your PC and the target site. The following link shows you how to run the tracert command: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/162326/en-gb When you get the result of that, it will tell you where the problem actually lies (most likely). An asterisk means that the connection failed to meet the node in the time allocated, and as a result the connection timed out. If the script stopped working at this point, this is where the problem is located. Just to clarify: If it's a connection issue, it will be the same in all browsers (as you're still using the same router to connect to the internet with).
  3. Please give a warm welcome to our newest team member, @TemplarMERC! He will be helping to (mainly) moderate our Stronghold Kingdoms forum, as well as helping me with the site coding and adding more content on SHK for you all to enjoy! Congratulations @TemplarMERC, and welcome to the site! We're excited to have you leading the SHK forum :)
  4. No problem, education is way more important. Best of luck :) We appreciate you even posting this, it's nice of you to take your time to explain it to us. Well, better late than never ;)
  5. Can you screenshot what's there at the minute?
  6. That's useful to know, thanks @Nigel. I've amended my first post with the new information. :)
  7. Thanks for letting me know, it's a result of the recent optimisation on the forums, I thought I'd changed it correctly but messed up a line of code. It should be working now. Edit: I've uploaded (and now removed) a test attachment, it worked fine and should for you now. :)
  8. That even sounds like a great game, maybe FF could consider it for SH4. After seeing that idea, I now have a good idea of several types of terrain, i.e. ice, desert, forest, mountain.etc and each terrain gives different advantages and disadvantages.
  9. Correct. SH3 and SHC2 use the same pre-built game engine.
  10. The gallery images aren't moderated like the downloads. There's no such thing as an unacceptable image unless it's completely unrelated or utterly pointless.
  11. I never really used the SH3 editor (apart from a couple of failed trail maps) but was this feature implemented in there?
  12. @Lord Vetka - you must have read my mind. I fixed this earlier today and was hoping someone would make a post so I didn't now have to triple post to let people know :) The new option is Automatically subscribe to every download you post on. in the "privacy" section of your profile. You can uncheck the old box and check the new one for downloads-specific emails.
  13. Wow, that's looking really, really good now! Have you considered uploading some of the best to our gallery?
  14. We've had a bit of bother with emails not getting sent out for file subscriptions - but it's fine now.
  15. I'm sure if you attach your file to the thread someone would take a look for you, we could see if we can see anything blatantly incorrect with it - two pairs of eyes are better than one, after all :)
  16. Sorry to hear you didn't get an answer from that, I was unsure how much it would help - but it looks like @EaglePrince managed to get something :)
  17. Thanks for the offer - I've sent the map to you. :) I'm just completely puzzled by it - I even looked at some of @Micha!'s maps and they were setup the same way as mine.
  18. Well I'm glad you managed to get something out of what I provided on page 1 Nigel, I'm also guessing that problems are on their end, hopefully they will soon release a patch after seeing what has been submitted to them.
  19. I have another thread that explains a lot, it may help you with your question: http://forums.stronghold-nation.com/topic/144-scripting-invasions/
  20. The same "attack" cursor that appears when you hover over enemy buildings appears when you hover over estate buildings - and even when you own the estate. I can't really alter it from the way it currently is - it's an island in-between the two castle estates that the two players fight for... I suppose it will have to do really, it may add to a bit of the action - but on the other hand it doesn't really make sense that units are attacking random villagers and animals (i.e. ox tether) on the way past to attack. EDIT: I could try and add some walls, if I'm lucky it won't ruin the rest of the village - this is still a kind of test map so It's certainly worth a try :/
  21. Yes - that should have been changed, sorry about that. It is correct now.
  22. Is there something I should be aware of that will make your own units (and the opponents) not attack villages when going past them? (i.e. invading opponents' territory) I've created a skirmish map which works perfectly apart from this one flaw, and it can be both disappointing and frustrating. It shows up as a village on the map preview, there are no teams set and it is a neutral estate. I know I'm asking without a map so you may not be able to assist much, but is there anything that could stop units from attacking nearby villages by default?
  23. Gallery images don't need approving - but I'll remove it for you.
  24. Providing the quality isn't sacrificed I'd say yes.
