1. Well I'm glad you managed to get something out of what I provided on page 1 Nigel, I'm also guessing that problems are on their end, hopefully they will soon release a patch after seeing what has been submitted to them.
2. I have another thread that explains a lot, it may help you with your question: http://forums.stronghold-nation.com/topic/144-scripting-invasions/
3. The same "attack" cursor that appears when you hover over enemy buildings appears when you hover over estate buildings - and even when you own the estate. I can't really alter it from the way it currently is - it's an island in-between the two castle estates that the two players fight for... I suppose it will have to do really, it may add to a bit of the action - but on the other hand it doesn't really make sense that units are attacking random villagers and animals (i.e. ox tether) on the way past to attack. EDIT: I could try and add some walls, if I'm lucky it won't ruin the rest of the village - this is still a kind of test map so It's certainly worth a try :/
4. Yes - that should have been changed, sorry about that. It is correct now.
5. Is there something I should be aware of that will make your own units (and the opponents) not attack villages when going past them? (i.e. invading opponents' territory) I've created a skirmish map which works perfectly apart from this one flaw, and it can be both disappointing and frustrating. It shows up as a village on the map preview, there are no teams set and it is a neutral estate. I know I'm asking without a map so you may not be able to assist much, but is there anything that could stop units from attacking nearby villages by default?
6. Gallery images don't need approving - but I'll remove it for you.
7. Providing the quality isn't sacrificed I'd say yes.
8. Yes please :) We do have the second screenshot, though.
9. Not quite sure how to remove the fog, I don't think there is a way, but could you upload the first image to our gallery? I'd like the chance to put that on the homepage slideshow :)
10. Make sure to let us know if this helps the crashes @Achilleslastand, it may be useful for future reference! :)
11. That's good news - I've added you in. :)
12. Great - added you both to the list, hope you can make it bradley :) That's a good idea EaglePrince, it will make for a good battle indeed!
13. You can unsubscribe from posts here on the forum by clicking the "You are currently subscribed to this topic - Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of viewing a topic. Maybe a separate option could be better, I'll think about it.
14. The maps that are already posted you'll have to go on and click the "subscribe to file" link (which is above the minimap when viewing a file). Not exactly the best way to do it but better than nothing I suppose, if you like I could attempt a manual database query for you if I know what files you want to be subscribed to. If you change the option I posted above in your profile then you will be automatically subscribed for any new files you add, otherwise you'll have to manually subscribe yourself to them as well.
15. Well, it's been a while - and even though SHC2 is the newest, not all of us have that yet. So, in order to accommodate the players without SHC2 as of now (such as , bradley0095, Charles of tours].etc) I've decided we all have SH2 in common - so why not give that a go! :)
16. File subscribing now works in the download central! You can choose to automatically subscribe by checking the "Automatically subscribe to every topic you post in." option in the privacy section of your profile. When adding a comment you now get the choice of checking the subscribe icon which will subscribe you to that topic - but you don't need to reply just to subscribe, there is an option on the file to do so too. Subscribing works in the same way as the forums; you'll be notified of any new posts to that fie by email. Also note by subscribing to category X, you will not get subscribed to all files in that category - just the category itself. If you would like to know what people say about your maps, I would strongly recommend subscribing to your files because otherwise you will not get notified unless you check when you're online - though the navigation there is getting better slowly, it still can be hard and isn't as easy to see new posts as the forum.
17. I've emailed PCDania and he says the following may help: As he points out, the anti-virus programs may be interfering with them. I have Windows 8, Windows Defender and Malware Bytes Pro installed. Does anyone have anything different to the default antivirus/malware programs installed?
18. Well, thanks again everyone! And thanks for the good words about the site Mathew. I'm not finished yet, so any more features you have in mind just let us know in the site questions/support forum :)
19. Can you please tell him to forward the email to lordchris [at] stronghold-nation.com and I'll investigate? EDIT: He's also contacted the site through the main support system. Thanks for bringing this to my attention anyway @EaglePrince.
20. Well - it's wonderful to hear such a positive message! At least I know I'm doing something right then! I couldn't have done any of it without all your help though - you're the people who bring the site alive, day and night. Without all you, SHN would be just like HG. A thank you to you too! :)
21. Monitor resolutions (or screen resolutions for that matter) can often make a game crash, they've done it many a time with SH1 that I've seen on the firefly forum, maybe @Nigel could be on to something there. I've had one crash, which was today - after the end of testing @Micha!'s map. So if crashes are re-occurring, it's because of one of three things: hardware incompatibility game instability Something has been altered somewhere - just like the save-to-map trick corrupted files in Stronghold 2 which often caused a lot of crashes, something must be altered. I'm not sure whether steam modified the registry, if so it may be worthwhile taking a look only to see if anything has happened there. We could test the hardware compatibility issue by changing things such as your monitor resolution. The other two aren't really in our control.
22. A very good map indeed once again - thanks for uploading it to us, and sorry about the long wait in approval, we're fairly behind at the moment :) http://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/file/199-crac-des-chevaliers-1vs1/
