Official Stronghold Crusader 2 Tournament
Lord_Chris replied to Micha!'s topic in Stronghold Crusader 2
I will be updating the attachment config later, I don't have time at the moment (as currently it's not the press of a button) but I will let you know when it's done, you'll be able to post three per post after that. But great battle, I see you use the same harassing tactic as me :D -
Thanks @xiiMaRcLeoN, I've submitted the site in the link that was given to you to PhishTank. I've also contacted the hosting provider of the website in an attempt to get it taken offline.
-
No I actually meant SH2. But now you've mentioned it, SHC2 may be in order as well, I'll see how it goes as I'm not great in that editor.
-
Yeah that's fine - and thanks :)
-
Okay, I'm going to try and create that in SH2 as it looks like the ideal fighting map - just like the auto-generated terrain from Empires Dawn of the Modern World. Any chance you could PM me a couple of screenshots of it? I'm going to try and get my game installed this weekend (hopefully) so when were you intending to play this?

What's the map called in that image?

Invasions that work, 2 maps posted

Awesome work, I'm going to feature this topic :) -
It's an incredibly good game. Though as the name implies, it is mostly about building up cities and managing them - similar to SH3 but in Roman times, actually. There are a few military campaigns and missions, but mainly peace.
-
Just thought I'd let everyone know I've posted a new CivCity map, it's called Alexandria and is posed in the "Single Missions" category of CivCity Rome. http://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/file/214-alexandria/

Lord Vekta: do you want to do a joined map project?
Lord_Chris replied to Nigel's topic in Stronghold Crusader 2
I'm going to be really busy until at least Thursday of this week, so I'm not sure I'll be able to have any time at the moment - sorry. -
What a good idea, I've been meaning to create something like this for a while, thanks @Nigel. What's everyone else doing then? Started shopping yet? We're going to start decorating within the next week I should think, as soon as it can be fit in. Thanks. It was originally done by @EaglePrince, he modified the banner to that. There will be snow coming down the page tomorrow automatically (with it being the first of December) but I thought I'd start that a day early. Originally I had a whole splash page and everything, but I had to tone it down a bit as it was out of control xD Just a note, as someone is bound to get sick of it - you can disable the snow in the "display" section of your profile.
-
That's a good idea! It will give newbies plenty of time to get used to the game by including very basic and simple scripts. It will also help them a bit more on the editor.

Stronghold Crusader / Extreme; November 29, 2014

Sorry guys, I still haven't been able to sit and have time to do an install of my game. I'm hoping to try again sometime next week. -
A tracert will help to identify where the connection is dropping in the ping. With 100% loss, it sounds like a connection issue or issue in a node between your PC and the target site. The following link shows you how to run the tracert command: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/162326/en-gb When you get the result of that, it will tell you where the problem actually lies (most likely). An asterisk means that the connection failed to meet the node in the time allocated, and as a result the connection timed out. If the script stopped working at this point, this is where the problem is located. Just to clarify: If it's a connection issue, it will be the same in all browsers (as you're still using the same router to connect to the internet with).

Please give a warm welcome to our newest team member, @TemplarMERC! He will be helping to (mainly) moderate our Stronghold Kingdoms forum, as well as helping me with the site coding and adding more content on SHK for you all to enjoy! Congratulations @TemplarMERC, and welcome to the site! We're excited to have you leading the SHK forum :)

No problem, education is way more important. Best of luck :) We appreciate you even posting this, it's nice of you to take your time to explain it to us. Well, better late than never ;)
-
Can you screenshot what's there at the minute?
-
That's useful to know, thanks @Nigel. I've amended my first post with the new information. :)
-
Try it now, should be fixed.

Database Error when attaching pictures
Lord_Chris replied to Nigel's topic in Site Questions and Support
Thanks for letting me know, it's a result of the recent optimisation on the forums, I thought I'd changed it correctly but messed up a line of code. It should be working now. Edit: I've uploaded (and now removed) a test attachment, it worked fine and should for you now. :) -
That even sounds like a great game, maybe FF could consider it for SH4. After seeing that idea, I now have a good idea of several types of terrain, i.e. ice, desert, forest, mountain.etc and each terrain gives different advantages and disadvantages.
-
Correct. SH3 and SHC2 use the same pre-built game engine.
