Sounds great. :) -
No worries, no thread is pointless, they all help someone, even if it's not specifically you :)

New Tutorial - Modifying Crusader 2
Lord_Chris replied to Lord_Chris's topic in Stronghold Crusader 2
Glad you found this useful =) I'm not an artist myself, but my future ambitions are to add buildings in from Stronghold 2/3 and upload them here as a mod. -

Definitely up for it tomorrow. Mathew will have a chance to regain his honour :P -

Mod for Stronghold Crusader 2: Templars Nightmare
Lord_Chris replied to TheBlackGrouse's topic in Stronghold Crusader 2
No problem, I've removed the file for you :) After a couple of attempts to download now, it's finally started to download. I'll let you know what happens on my machine. Usually it just spams a couple of windows open for downloading software that's unwanted and nothing happens in regards to that download. While it can take longer to download as it is now, it's probably easier for users who don't have any experience in such things. I assumed that when you needed us to create one, some of the file has different properties on different systems and you needed to create it according to the system's needs. -
More info? What browser, Operating system .etc? Do you have any restrictions?

Mod for Stronghold Crusader 2: Templars Nightmare
Lord_Chris replied to TheBlackGrouse's topic in Stronghold Crusader 2
Yeah - I emailed you when I checked it, as you didn't have access to the PM back then. There are a few flaws with the mod. I can't remember exactly what I put now as it was a while ago, but the instructions aren't clear in a few places and hard to follow, there are a few parts that aren't accurate and I ended up missing part of the instructions out because it wasn't clear and I couldn't find anything related in any directory. Then because I missed some stuff out, it crashed my game instantly on load (not sure whether this was because I missed one step out or not). Your file hasn't been rejected or accepted yet, as I was waiting to hear back from you. For the exact information I said, you'll have to check your email. -
I've approved your updates, and here is your article: http://www.stronghold-nation.com/article/186-a-map-editor-tutorial :)

Stronghold 2 - 09/04/2015
Lord_Chris replied to Mathew Steel's topic in Multiplayer Gaming Community's Stronghold 2
Awesome, I've been thinking about making an event for a good few weeks now. I'm in ;) As for the map, how about waiting for a few more players and then decide? I have a few that could be useful depending on how many players there are. -

Please do not make duplicate topics. Merging. EDIT: The file linked to above does not seem to be downloading either. -
All quotes have been added!

Adventure #01 - A Duke in Distress
Lord_Chris replied to Charles of Tours's topic in Adventures in the Duchy of Riverbourne
"Sorry for the hostile greeting, Sir Lloyd. The enemy now has many spies in this county, I assumed you were one of them." -
I read this topic yesterday and completely forgot about adding the quotes in today. I don't have time now so it will have to wait until tomorrow now. But thanks both of you for posting and reminding me! :)

No, this is happening for me as well. I don't think there is a way around this.

Any tutorials on making scenarios for SHC2 map editor?
Lord_Chris replied to Andreas9541's topic in Stronghold Crusader 2
If you attach your file to this thread I'm sure we'd take a look for you, if you go to the full editor by clicking "post reply" (underneath my post) then you can see a space to upload files. -
Adventure #01 - A Duke in Distress
Lord_Chris replied to Charles of Tours's topic in Adventures in the Duchy of Riverbourne
"Fear not gentlemen, I have returned!" states the Duke triumphantly. "And I have quite a collection of things with me as well." The Duke pauses, then signals to some of his Knights to move a cart full of disguises and goods over. Another knight follows with some animals at his disposal. "This should be more than enough, gather round so we ...." starts the Duke, before he suddenly stops and notices the new face. "Who might this be? - and what business do you have here?" The Duke now seems tense so two knights come over, ready to draw swords if need be. -
I haven't had time to check it yet and no other staff member has been online today. I'm hoping to be able to do it later today, if not I'll do it tomorrow.

Ah sneaky ;) Yeah, just the war one from the tutorial then, please. :)

Yeah, that would be a good addition to the downloads as well - but I originally meant the map under the textures heading:

Adventure #01 - Conversation
Lord_Chris replied to Charles of Tours's topic in Adventures in the Duchy of Riverbourne
This post is moved from the topic "A Call to Arms: Character Creation" by @Lord_Chris I've spoken to @Charles of Tours and he says if you create your application in the same way we have, then he'll approve/deny it from there. Also though, since this thread is only for the creation and no discussion, I've moved the last three posts to the discussion thread. -
Wow, you've gone into amazing detail here. You've put loads of effort into this one! :) I'm going to stick this topic & feature it on our homepage. It also seems you've saved me a lot of work, I've been meaning to get an article like this done for a few months now, but haven't ever got around to it. Could I post this as an official article, and would you like to release the map in the tutorial as an example map? Really good work! :D

This is possible through the new search interface, but not a special link for it. Just enter your username here and nothing else, it will show your files: http://www.stronghold-nation.com/search
-
Yeah - I'll third that. I don't have time to download it at the moment, but from what I can see it looks like a very well made Free Build map, and you've put a lot of time into the story too.

Post your best memories of stronghold here
Lord_Chris replied to sh4d0wknight7447's topic in Stronghold 2
Yes, I remember this alright ;) Speaking of good memories, this was probably one of the best battles I've ever had, it was a constant challenge to try and think ahead of you. It seems we're both quite well matched!
