  1. I'd completely forgotten about this but couldn't make it that day anyway - sorry for not letting you know. Any results after attempting this?
  2. Absolutely, a very controversial topic, I'm featuring this to get a bit more attention. Purchasing a game ten years ago, the game would have been complete and you would be lucky to find a single bug. Now though, game developers, specifically PC developers, seem to have the arrogant attitude that the customers should do the debugging for them. With console games it's not exactly a different story, but it is very different compared with games on the PC that are filled with bugs. The only reason I can think of is that game developers want the work load cut down so they use us as beta testers - just as Microsoft use us as testers for Windows and only fix bugs when they are reported (which is the whole reason for weekly updates, I think every Thursday they're released) game development has become much the same. I think the main problem as you've pointed out, is that game developers tend to be lazy now - but what about all developers? Absolutely not. I own a Wii-U, and the games on there are exactly the standard of PlayStation 2 (not graphics wise, but performance wise). You never find one bug because everything is thoroughly tested prior to being released. I feel I'm starting to ramble a bit so I'll end now. But I'd like to hear what others have to say on this matter too :)
  3. This is a volunteer forum. I understand you may want comments instantly (after all who wouldn't), but folks may not always have the time. They come on the forum when their times, schedules and whimsy dictate. A bit of patience is all :) That doesn't justify needlessly bumping a thread. If what was added was relevant and wasn't thread bumping for the sake of it, it would have been a different story, as you say.
  4. Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more! :)
  5. Please do not needlessly bump your thread. It is already at the top of the list.
  6. I'd say something on the research tree would be incredibly useful. While there is documentation on it in the Wiki, there isn't really much on it about what is best to be researched first, or a general overview of all the available items of research in the game and what they do, similar to my overview on the one in CivCity Rome actually. I myself seem to be doing quite well in research and tend to just use my best judgement at the time I get new points, but I think some of this is probably down to luck and something more would certainly guide people new down the right track.
  7. Not at all - and for several reasons. Firstly you're not creating a thread purely for purposes for advertising. And secondly, it's relevant to the help thread. It's also not advertising a website or product, which is the main rule.
  8. Have you completed (part of) the video without it yet? I think it would be easier for us to think if we saw the content of the video.
  9. It's certainly good this has been solved. Glad I could help. :)
  10. This article may help, I think it's that the encoding of your keyboard is set differently. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/258824
  11. Well, it's always glad to know the issue was solved. :) I'll move this to Computer Support as it's more computer related. I've managed to change my default search provider a different way (there are actually two ways I'm aware of, but one depends on you having at least Windows x Pro otherwise a registry hack is needed) Using Internet Explorer, go to: Tools -> Addons -> Search providers Through the Microsoft Management Console (using Windows x Pro version or better): http://blogofanitadmin.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/group-policy-changing-default-search.html
  12. After a bit of searching, I found this for Twitch: https://github.com/abartholomew/twitchphp/blob/master/Twitch.php This code is definitely not perfect but this could easily be solved as I could modify it to fit our needs. Based from what I can tell (and from what you've just said), I think Twitch would be easiest to include and attract the largest audience, being more beneficial. Would you be prepared to test it out with me some time? (We can discuss this a bit more over the PM if need be)
  13. I stickied your other topic. How exactly would we do this? I like the idea and would like to get this done somehow, but I think we'd need to know more about how it would be set up, especially if I was to create a page on the site for streaming.
  14. Very nice @LordBanshee! Perhaps you could consider uploading them to our Gallery too? That would be awesome ;)
  15. Moved to Site Questions/Support. What exactly do you mean by "streaming"? From what I can gather, I think you mean just allowing other players to spectate, but it's a bit ambiguous. Could you explain it a but more? I completely agree as this is a good idea, depending on the circumstances, I could even set up a streaming page on the main site for users to view. But really we need a bit more info first ... Maybe you'd like to do a "Crusader 2 Multiplayer rules" topic then? :)
  16. "They are not yet disbanded. And no one in currently in command. But there is also one other thing you should know. I know that he was the same person who murdered The Duke's brother. And his father." The messenger pauses, waiting for Goodman to lower his guard. "Because I am him. And you must make ready to join them!!!" He takes out a knife sharply and dives towards Goodman.
  17. "I bring you urgent news Goodman. The Duke died of Sword wounds on his way here to meet you. Wounds inflicted upon him by a hired Assassin."
  18. This looks like an amazing game! Just looking at those graphics show the game is going to be great. Added to my wishlist ;)
  19. Vegas Pro is better for editing, but it is pretty good at recording and has a webcam feature as well. I'm going to be doing some more YouTube tutorials at some point and this should come in very handy when I do so, making it much more useful than the old Hypercam 3 :D That said though, I haven't tested it with a completely full screen game yet, hopefully it should be fine. What would you say about Premiere Elements?
  20. "I bring word from the Duke. Tell me, is there some place more private we can go to?"
  21. To prevent members from removing the content from posts and abusing editing permissions making help threads pointless, members are restricted from editing their posts past two weeks (contributors and experts have slightly more). There has already been an example of why this is necessary in the Stronghold 1 forum, which is also the same reason members cannot delete their own posts. I've edited your post for you, I understand this is an inconvenience to members like you, but we have to ensure members like @Lord Stronghold cannot remove all the content from their post and the forum model does not support doing it on a per-user basis. The best way is to contact a team member who has moderator abilities in that forum with your request who will then edit your post if the request is reasonable.
  22. Suddenly a hooded figure comes in the Inn and sits down beside Goodman, trying not to draw attention to himself. "You're Goodman, aren't you?" he asks, waiting for Goodman's reply.
  23. That looks like a very nice map @LordBanshee, it's a shame I couldn't make the event. I'm looking forward to see you upload it! :)
  24. [OOC] That sounds great. I'll meet you there in desguise :)
