I am creating this tread in order to help others in creating good looking banners. It is something that may concern with competitions for best signatures of the month, but it doesn't have to. What is my goal is to help everyone to create a good looking signature, and for that reason I proposed "soldiers from Stronghold" to be the theme of the competition, as I hope everyone will be able to easily create a nice banner. Image manipulation program I am recommending is GIMP, as it is free, easy to use, and it has many useful features. By those, I think it is a lot similar to Corel PhotoPaint or Adobe PhotoShop, although I cannot say it is better than those two. Another program I use for this is Corel PhotoPaint, so if you need any help with that program, I could help you there as well. I hope you all will feel free to ask any question you want. I'm not an expert, but I hope I could help.

Your toughts of new Internet Explorer
EaglePrince replied to EaglePrince's topic in Computer Support
I still do like Firefox as well. Also, it has some nice options I like to use. Internet Explorer does have addons, and those are the same addons that are needed to any other browser I think. -
Your toughts of new Internet Explorer

I believe it has to pass some time, until some more people get back to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately it is easier to get bad reputation, that to fix that bad reputation, and prove you're in fact good now. Besides those things you said - this computer of mine is an older one: 2GB RAM, and AMD Athlon 2.21 GHz processor, and it seems like it works smoother than Mozilla and Chrome. I can see those if I play few videos on YouTube for example. Well, it's always about that. :) I also like how it looks, and I must say - I like those squares. Speaking of Mozilla for example - I liked it more when it ised to have rectangular tabs (version 12 for example), and the way it looks right now (version 32). Right now I have also installed ieSpell, so I'm gonna see how IE works with that as well. :) -
We all know how Internet Explored became unpopular at some moment, and now, although many say it became much better, people are sceptical, and they mostly won't accept that. What are your tought of it? I do agree that it used to take more time to start before, but it seems nice to me at this moment, and appears to be quite optimized, and pages load pretty fast. By the way, I've got feeling that Stronghold Nation does work the best with Internet Explored. :D

I haven't used Paint.net much, but I have same impressions. I'd also like to say - you can also use your lords here. Not only army. I am saying this because I know lords from Stronghold 2 and newer Stronghold games might be quite interesting. You could also use an AI lord. For example, you could use Sir William, the King, the Bull, or someone else.

Thanks for your replies! I didn't notice Mathews reply earlier, as we wrote our messages at almost the same time, and I wasn't looking carefully enough. That is also what I noticed - they move between granary and huts. For this reason I used to put guards posts near granary, treasury, and near huts, but this one near huts is always too far from the courthouse. Because of that I started putting them near granary, treasury, and near the gate which leads to the huts. Speaking about torturers guild - I wasn't buildings it lately as I wanted to spare some space, but besides that I also wanted to make things as simple as possible, as I'm still not as good as I used to be. Also, I don't say I was a great Stronghold 2 player before - the only fact is that I was slightly better than now. :) Thanks for your advices. :)

What I would recommend is Gimp. It's free, and it's really great for any image manipulation you want to do. If you need any help, just ask. :) I could try writing some tutorials, but there are many tutorial already, and it would take much time to describe everything in detail. On the other hand, the program is quite intuitive. I recommend it!

I hope that too! :)

I do similar thing. I didn't know about humiliation masks, that can be useful while I am trying to get higher ranks in game. Oh, and the executioners blocks - that why I like to use them. Instant rehabilitation, hehe. :)

I am joining the contest with my signature. I believe that this time we may see some interesting screenshots from Stronghold 2, Stronghold Legends, Stronghold 3, and also from Stronghold 1 and Stronghold Crusader 1, but also from, what we're all most excited right now, Stronghold Crusader 2. Sadly, right now it is not possible to change the horizontal angle of camera, but even without that, I'm sure that one can make great screenshots from Crusader 2. :) This is my signature.

In this tread I wanted to ask you guys what are your favorite punishing methods? Do you like to put them in stocks, or to chop their had, and to deal with that criminal instantly, or some other way? :) Besides that, what method do you think is most effective, and how to you place your guard posts to catch those criminals as soon as possible? :)

I shall experiment a little, and I shall tell what would be my combination. I still want to try with bread - we'll see how it's gonna turn out. :)

Hmm, that would seem like a website that would need to have an access to many other website databases, and that doesn't seem possible, I think. I mean, if not that - than I think that website would have to have all your passwords as well. Perhaps the easiest thing is to setup email notifications at each account you matter, and if you don't use that often, you could divert all email from that account to the one you do use often, and that way you would be receiving all notifications without checking several email addresses.

Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaah! :D Thanks, I shall bear that title with honor! :)

Congratulation, Mathew. :) I'm sure you will. ;)

Thanks for details, xiiMaRcLeoN. :) Well, I hope this tread could become sticky. We have similar one which is sticky for Crusader 1. :)
-
That's right, but it depends of how many players there are, I think. When you kill enemies the count goes up. Does it go up by 333, or only up to 500? I mean, both of those are good, only it would be interesting if the one who kills the opponent gets more troops. :)

By the way, what do you think about having another account for those situations when we want to by something over internet? I was doing it that way whenever I was paying something over internet. That account is almost always empty, and when I want to buy something, I pay in on that account just as much as I need, and after purchasing, the account is empty. Still, I should tell that I was able to open that account as a student, or as young person, or something like that, so I wouldn't pay any upkeep or anything.

Well, it was good for improving skills in Crusader 1 as well. When you play your own skirmish games you tend to setup games you know you will be able to win, while this way you manage to win some games that you might give up otherwise thinking it was a mission impossible. :)

I could choose Knez. :) That is a title of Slavic origin, and it is often translated as Prince. Among South Slavs it was a ruler subjected/loyal to a king.

What foreign languages can you speak?
EaglePrince replied to Lord_Chris's topic in The Open Castle Inn
Serbian, English, and German, but I haven't spoken German for years now. :) -
Thanks, guys! :)

You're welcome. :) My guess is that it would look even better if you would be able to change color of player one from red to blue for example, or from red to yellow, but I think it looks nice this way as well. :)
-
Wow, that seems really effective! :)

I have just created one more welsh crest for Mathew. It's in the attachment. :) I'm sorry it took me so long.
