Sorry @Nigel, didn't see your post there. I've added a miscellaneous category - but before adding a saved games one how big is a saved game on average? -

For the moment, I've added N/A as I an unaware of what patches are what (since my game has still not arrived yet...). Thanks for brining it to my attention! -

Your toughts of new Internet Explorer

If I'm perfectly honest, I'm still not satisfied they load fast enough - especially the homepage and the rest of the main site. The forums and the download section are pretty fast though. -
Your toughts of new Internet Explorer

Me and my friends have just had the exact same argument last week over browsers... :) I think Internet Explorer is probably the best browser, it's certainly the least complex and in my opinion, it looks the best as well. Pages seem to load a lot faster on it for me. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera - they are good, but just don't have the same feel for me, I don't know why. It isn't as slow as IE 10, which is a good thing, and everything is square and rectangular which at first was annoying - but I have Windows 8 which is exactly the same, so I think over time I must have just got used to how square it is. That's because that's what I use, and I've created it using IE. I have done a couple of other checks in the other browsers, but IE has the best compatibility. -
I use paint.net and now, photoshop CS5 as well. But you can use online generators, any paint programs or an means to generate your signature. A good online generator I use sometimes is bannerfans.com

It's only really servers for websites that use Linux (that I know of, though it has become increasingly poplar over the last few years). They have flaws, and they aren't perfect, but I don't think it will be patched quite as quick as that, maybe in a month or two though.

You post it in this thread, but you also link the image to this thread in your signature.

Last month, the winners were myself and @EaglePrince for our "Stronghold Crusader or Stronghold Crusader 2 related" themed contest. We have deliberated upon the following theme: soldiers from Stronghold We have chosen to clarify with the following: Oh, and if you are considering joining in, it wouldn't hurt to drop in a note so I hurry along those "last minute" sort of people! :) The contest will run until the 20th of October, and after this date the voting will begin. But do remember... the longer you have your signature posted, the more people will notice it! Basic Rules: http://forums.stronghold-nation.com/topic/94-announcing-signature-of-the-month/ ** Voting ** @Lord_Chris @EaglePrince @Mathew Steel

I place one guard post next to my granary (so I don't waste peasants) and I place several Humiliation Mask's because they tend to generate a lot of honour. They're all effective, it depends on what you would rather use and for what purpose - for example, you get no honour for the executioner's block, but you do get an instant rehabilitation.
-
It's certainly possible, but it would be misused by spammers and would result in all sorts of annoyances.
-
The actual vulnerability AFAIK is from all versions of Linux. And since steam are so big, that would likely make them a bigger target for people. The actual accounts wouldn't lose details, but they would get stolen.

If we get several more relevant replies I (or maybe another mod) will make it sticky. Note the word relevant. No off-topic stuff that could go in the Inn ;)
-
I take it that from the screenshot @xiiMaRcLeoN posted, the troop limit is 333?
-
I don't know anything about it, but a quick look to me suggests it's clean (and not vulnerable - that I could see). But I would still use PayPal when ordering from them. From what I can also tell, they're using Kayako for support so you should be fine.
-
Well, simply put: what foreign languages can you speak? I can speak English and German (fairly well).
-
No actually, I would take it all websites are vulnerable unless you know that their server is not Linux.
-
Congratulations @EaglePrince! A much deserved win.

I've split the thread, edited my main post above to make sense in the new thread & added a less off-topic reply to the other thread.

I'm getting a boxed version. But I would recommend not buying online after what I've heard about ShellShock (the newest super computer virus) over the weekend. You can follow the link for more info.

The food gets consumed in the same amount of time. The only difference is the honour bonus - on normal rations I think off-hand it's 1 honour per food type given on a monthly basis.
-
Bread slows food production down. If you think about it, wheat gets taken to the stockpile, taken to the mill, turned into flour, taken back.etc. While in that time, an apple farmer may have taken one or two loads of apples to the granary. Also, bread takes up far more workers with little to no advantage over other food. The main thing that is taken into effect is the variety of food. Not what types, just how many and of what types. This is exactly what the honour bonus from the granary is based on - how many types of food you have. From what I remember happens (off hand) Apples are the quickest, second to Meat, Cheese and then Bread.

You're always at risk online - even on Google. One of my friends told me about people doing a test on Google, they reloaded it something like every five seconds for 24 hours, and for every X attempts, they got malware on their computer. The reason being that Google knows about the malware that people attempt to upload and are always checking for it - be clearly not every five seconds. I'll have to ask him about it again, I can't remember exactly now. What I recommend is to (as always) use caution. The rules of the internet: Never use sites you don't know Before you visit a site, check it with phishtank. Some types of malware can download instantly just by viewing a web page. There are other places you can check the safety of website such as Norton safe web. Make sure you have a great anti-virus. While windows defender is alright, it's by no means the best prevention against malware & virus'. MalwareBytesPro is free software that even picked up some kind of virus in the registry on my computer - which Windows Defender seems incapable of doing. Use downloads with caution. Don't download things from other sites unless you trust the source. And most importantly: Never just 'hand out' credit card details to surveys.etc. They are always scams - especially from 'getmeatticket'. I won't post a link, if anyone viewing this thread searches it & anything happens, I'm not responsible. TL; DR: Basically, to sum up, you are always at risk from malware on the internet, as long as you have a good firewall and anti-virus regularly running scans you should be fine. The shellshock virus only affects Linux systems, those people who have Windows X, don't worry. It mainly affects purchases, but in reality, everything you post (i.e. even your email). If you have any more questions, or anyone wants to add any comments do and I'll split the thread into The Open Castle Inn. :)

This isn't "just some virus", it's probably the worst exploit in Linux yet (which is what 99.9% of websites use). It's worse than the heart bleed bug a few months back, it is a vulnerability in Linux operating systems that allow hackers to inject software to remotely control the websites on that server, so it's pretty bad.
