The term ''Ofrenda'' is applied to the Celebration of The ''Dios de Los Muertos'' (''Day of The Dead''). As we have seen, in many Mesoamerican Cultures, it is a Festival to honor deceased Relatives and welcome their ''Spirits'' back to The ''Land of The Living'' for one time a year. However, Practitioners (borrowing form their Catholicism backgrounds) – erect ''Ofrenda''s in their Homes. These are Altars which features, Flowers, Food, Gifts and Religious Icons and Symbolism. They also feature pictures of The Deceased (regardless of Era). Often very elaborate, The Ofrenda is used to ''attract'' Family Spirits for their yearly ''gathering''. Although The Church does not sanction Ofrenda use, most that follow The Ceremony construct Ofrenda's.
