Ten years after having been pushed into the depths with a sword in the stomach, The Wolf mysteriously returns to Britain with newfound allies on his side with one purpose: to take his revenge on The Boy. Stronghold 3 puts you in the Boy's shoes, as he has to stand up for himself and reassemble a band of loyal men, who are still loyal to the crown. Will he be able to succeed?

Stronghold 3 is a 2011 title telling the aftermath of Stronghold 1's story. Presenting itself mostly as a single-player game, SH3 brings new gameplay elements to the table, such as encroaching darkness shrouding the battlefield into nothingness, reworked feast mechanics and granular building rotation. Although the game's reputation leaves a lot more to be desired, it can still offer a mildly pleasant castle-sim experience.
