Duc Volpe is the main antagonist in Stronghold 3.

Duc Volpe, also known as the Wolf, is the main antagonist of the military campaign and returning character from Stronghold. The Wolf survived his fatal encounter with the Boy at the end of the original game and spend the next decade recovering in the Middle-East. Driven by revenge, he returns to his homeland to take vengeance against his enemies and especially the Boy. He is accompanied by the mysterious Jackal, a warlord sent to aid him by the men who saved his life, while back at home the children of his old compatriots the Rat and the Pig swear loyalty to him.

Despite being the main antagonist of the story, the Wolf is only encountered during the final two missions of the campaign. Throughout these missions he used a combination of high quality troops such as knights, swordsmen, pikemen and crossbowmen as well as some basic units like archers and men-at-arms against the player.
