An early God of Upper Egypt (roughly 4,000 BC) – ‘’Wepwawet’’ may have been an adaption of Anubis. Originally a ‘’War God’’, He was invoked for protection against Enemy weapons. He was also relative as a ‘’Death Deity’’ . When a Warrior was killed in battle, Wepwawet would guide the Soul (with honors), into The Afterlife. Normally, such a Soul would be immediately judged and found worthy – thus insuring Their immortality.
