The ''Was'' was a form of Royal Egyptian Sceptre used by Pharaohs. It was seen as a ''common'' walking cane which was imbued with ''magical powers''. A Pharaoh was seen as being Divine and the only one who could weld such abilities. The Was Secptre was seconded in identifiable imagery only to The Crook and Flail. Ranging from 4 to 5-feet in length, The Sceptre was made of wood and often covered in various precious metals. Funerary versions were Gold. The shape of The Was Sceptre was based on the harnessed power of two well known Egyptian Deities. The handle was shaped to represent Anubis – God of The Dead, with a small ''U''-Shaped extension at the bottom to represent Set (God of Chaos).
