She was The Goddess and Protector of Lower Egypt. Depicted as an erect Cobra (Snake), she was also invoked by Pharaohs prior to battle (as protection). She is credited with the reason as to why Ramesses II defeated The Amorites at The Battle of Kadesh). Wadjet's breath was said to be of fire , and she would breath it upon the enemies of Pharaoh . By The 18th Dynasty, Wadjet was made into a more supernatural form . She was depicted as the body of Vulture with the head of The Cobra. Her wings are outstretched as a warning .
