With 500 built, The McDonnell aircraft Company F3H ''Demon'' was a Carrier-Based Fighter Jet, first deployed in 1956. Non-''Supersonic'' and sluggish to control, they were replaced by The US Navy for The Phantom Series of Fighters. A ''false'' Swept-Wing Fighter, The ''Demon'' was 60-feet in length with a wingspan of 35-feet. They were powered by (1) Allison J71 Turbo Jet Engine. It could achieve 700-mph with an operational ceiling of 35,000-feet. Armament packages included (4) 20mm Auto-Cannon and the capability to support (4) AA Missiles. The F3H could also carry 6,000-pounds of Ordnance. Replaced before the start of The Vietnam War (1965-1975), only (3) Fh3 are known to still exist.
