The Uraeus was an Ancient Egyptian form of Funerary Art, which is most known as the primary ''mask'' or covering placed over the mummified head of an Egyptian Royal. The Uraeus was associated with Egyptian sovereignty, royalty and The Pharaoh's ''Divinity''. Made of gold, The Uraeus was also painted with Blue and White hues (organic plant based) as highlight. The helm was fashioned to resemble the stylized face of the deceased King (or related Royalty). The eyes were painted in extreme highlight. The flanks of the Funerary Helm were designed on the ''hood'' of The Cobra Reptile (extended). Also related to The Goddess Wadjet (Her symbol), this Reptile was also represented on the Crown of The Uraeus. The color Blue, was said to represent The ''Blue Crown'' – symbol of Upper Egypt (often called The ''War Crown'').
