The Ancient Egyptian God Thoth was the symbol of The Moon and Wisdom. He is portrayed as having the head of a Bird (Ibis), with a long beak, and the body of a Man. It was said he was the Son of either Set (Seth) or Atum-Ra. He was responsible for education in Egypt (Medicine and Sciences, as well). Thoth's primary function in The Underworld is to write down all the names of all the souls in The World. He is also in charge of protecting the Sacred Scales of Justice, used by Osiris to judge The Dead.
