Dating to 2,700 BC – Tefnut was a Goddess associated with various forms of Water (but not The Nile). Depicted as a Human Female with the Head of a Lioness, She was also associated with The Anhk (the symbol of Life). She was charged to protect Oasis and other sources of water in Ancient Egypt.
