Another Chivalric Order created by Swedish King Frederick I in 1748 – The Order is also only given to Heads of State (and Royalty). Women could be awarded this Order as well. Although traditional Titling of Knight and Commander was codified, Holders are referred to as “Herren” and “Damen”. England's “then” Princess Victoria was the first English Monarch to be given the Title. The insignia is an elaborate Golden Star-Cross, surrounded by smaller Crosses and images of the Crown of Sweden. The Center of the Badge is a brilliant Blue Oval enamel with Golden “IHS” Cypher (Christ's) placed. Attached to a Light Blue Ribbon, it was worn traditionally as a Sash for Women and a Neck Ribbon by Men.
