Resheph

A Cult Deity from The 18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, ‘’Resheph’’ was seen as the personification of Plague. This was seen (depending on the event), as both a good or bad occurrence. In cases of ‘’Good’’, Resheph was invoked against One’s Enemy. In ‘’Bad’’, He was either improperly venerated and thus – bestowing His ‘’wrath’’.  Much later in Egyptian History, He was seen as a ‘’Protection Deity’’ worshiped by Pharoah’s ad other Nobility.
