From Ancient Egypt – ''Neper'' was a Male Deity associated with the production of Grain. Grain was seen as crucial to Egyptian Life for both Rich and Poor. Both Barley and Wheat were under His Patronage. It was said, that during the annual Flooding of The Nile Delta, and a lack of Crops for a particular part of the season – Neper was ''tending to the Crops'' of The Gods.
