Montu

The Egyptian God of War Montu was an Upper Kingdom Diety. He is shown as Human with the Head of A Falcon. He was highly regarded in Thebes. Montu may harken back to an even older Old Kingdom origin. Montu is often portrayed carrying Sword, Arrow and other War weapons. The placing of such weapons before His image was said to infuse them with His protection (and thus, victory in battle).
