Lithuanian War Flag

The “War Flag” of Lithuania can trace it's origins to The Battle of Grunwald (1410). It was documented that of the 40 Regiments present for battle, all carried a red pennant banner (semi-swallow), with a mounted image of a Knight charging into battle. The Banner, known as The Vytis was the National Flag of Lithuania until the end of the 18th Century (and their subsequent annexation into Imperial Russia).
