Hypnalis

Several Medieval Bestiary volumes tell the story of The ''Hypnalis''. Linked with the story of Queen Cleopatra (Ancient Egypt), Hypnalis was the Asp that she used to end her life (and escape Roman capture). Medieval Scholars stated that this Asp did not die and was cursed. Being immortal it will spend eternity finding more victims with which he will put to sleep with his venom. It was further stated that Hypnalis only strikes one in their sleep.
