First designed in the late 1920s, The Junkers Ju-52 was a reliable Transport Plane, used by Germany during World War II. Originally a Civilian Transport and Passenger Aircraft, the duralumin fuselage Plane saw active service during Germany's ''assiatnace'' of The Spanish Franco Government during The Spanish Civil War of the 1930s. Operated manly by The Luftwaffe during World War II, near 5,000 production Modles were made. After The War, survivors were incorporated into several Eastern Block, Soviet Countries (used again as Passenger and Cargo transport). Many have survived today in Museums. Crewed by (2), The Ju-52 (or ''Iron Annie'' as Code named by The Allied Forces) - was 60-feet in length with a wingspan of 97-feet. Powered by Twin BMW 9-cylinder Radial Engines, rated to 725-HP each. Speed was 165-mph with a 19,000 operational ceiling. The Ju-52 could range to over 600-miles. No armament was provided.
