Philip II (Spain), died today. Noted for starting Spain's “Golden Age”, Philip saw Spanish Colonies established throughout the known World (as far as The Philippine Islands in The Pacific Ocean – also named for him). The term “The Empire on which The Sun Never Sets” was coined during his reign. Philip was also responsible for The Spanish Armada (to be used against England for it's invasion). This event failed. He died at 71.
In short, a Fusil is an elongated Lozenge – used on some Coat of Arms and Shields. The Fusil was said to first be incorporated in the 14th Century by Cornish Dukes, and may have been an early identifier of their Title.
