The first Public display of The Catholic Ritual of The Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament, is instituted outside of The High Mass – today. The tradition is still continued to this day.
There were 2 distinct images that could convey the water source. The first was a Roundel (or circle), with 5 wavy lines of alternate color. The second, was an actual image of the fountain. They mostly conveyed religious or pious meanings.
