The Fairfax Regiment of Horse was raised (Yorkshire) and commanded by Lieutenant-General Thomas Fairfax in 1642. They supported The Parliamentarian Cause in England's Civil Wars. They numbered (8) Troops of 800 Officers and Men. The Regiment fought in (7) major Battles and a score of skirmishes throughout England. With Fairfax promoted to command of a major component in Cromwell's ''New Model Army'', The Horse Regiment would fall to a lessor Commander (1645). The Regiment's Colors were a Green Field in it's entirety. A Green and White Border was placed with The Hoist left clear. No other embellishments were present.
