In an interesting method of dealing with One s Enemies , The Ancient Egyptian use of Exceration Texts was unique. A Pharaoh always had Enemies. These could be his own Advisors or Foreign ones. The practice of The Texts (which were actually Tablets or Devices shaped as Pots or Plates) were used to ceremoniously destroy The Pharaoh s foes. The name of the offending Person or Kingdom was painted or inscribed onto The Tablet. In an elaborate Ritual, which involved Publicly denouncing The Offender. Along with various curses, the Priest conducting The Ritual would then break to pieces The tablet. This then symbolized the destruction of One s Foe . The use of Exceration Texts was considered High Magic . As a result in some cases, the pieces could be buried with a Pharaoh as proof in the Afterlife of his powerful Magic against his Enemies on Earth.
