Dating to the 5th Century BC – The Cult of Ancient Egypt's ''Duamutef'', was related to a Deity, trasked with the overall protection of Canopic Jars. As we have seen,. Canopic Jars were ceramic containers used to store the ''preserved '' bodily organs of deceased Pharaohs and Noblepeople. Placed inside a Ruler's Pyramid or related Tomb, such ''Jars'' were important with regards to Egyptian Beliefs that – each Night, a Pharaoh was re-consituted, and thus needed His ''entire'' physical body. Duamutef watched over such containers daily – for all Eternity.
