Chimerical Element

The Chimerical Element of a Charge – is the “creation” of a Heraldic “Beast”, by combining two to create it. This obviously causes confusion (even more so than the “mythical versions). This practice was not seen until around the 17th Century (forward). Another form of Chimerical Element is the using of 2 different Heraldic Beasts (as Supporters) on Arms. Chimerical Elementing is the using of 2 different Heraldic Beasts (as Supporters) on Arms.
