Dating to at least the 7th Century AD – The ''Black Standard'' was the traditional Colors used by The Middle Eastern Abbasid Revolutionists in 747 AD. The Flag signifies the overall end to The Arabian Empire of The Era and the rise of multi-ethnic states in The Middle East. Variations of The ''Black Standard'' would rise well into The 21st Century, most often symbolizing Revolution and adherence to ''traditional'' Muslim Beliefs. It is also the basis for most Jihadist Movements as a rally icon. In it's original form, The Standard was a plain solid Black Field with no imagery or embellishments.
