Very little is known of the Ancient Egyptian Deity known as ‘’Aqen’’. He was thought to be a Funerary God and featured into The Afterlife as ‘’Guardian’’ of The Solar Barge of Ra. As we know, Ra sailed The Barge each night, fighting various Evil Demons and ensuring that The Sun rose each day – vanquishing The Night. Aqan protected His Masters Ship from attack. He was first mentioned in Funerary texts ads far back as 1,250 BC. Aqen was also said to be associated with the passage of Time in The Afterlife and was also known as The ‘’Mouth of Time’’.
