Zduhac

 From Serbia, is the 13th Century legend of The Zduhac. These were normal men who had a supernatural ability to leave their physical bodies (spirit state). In this form they could fight Storm Demons . It was thought, that thunder and rain storms were controlled by Demons. Their goal was to ruin crops. Enter these special Zduhac men. They would transform and battle these Storm Demons (thus saving theirs and others Farms). The Storm Demons were sometimes describes as Black Birds (possibly Crow or Raven). The human identity of The Zduhac was not always known.
