From The World of HP Lovecraft, The Yig (also known as The ''Father of Serpents''), is Human (at least upon first glance), and then assumes a more Reptilian form when provoked. The Yig had the ability to turn Human Children into Snakes. He is said to be related to The Serpent Gods of Stygian origin.
