Another well known creature in Monsterology is The Yeti. The story is regulated to The Himalayas Mountains (encompassing Tibet, Mongolia and Nepal). In such cold weather lands (and at such high elevations), nothing is supposed to live other than The Yeti. Described by Priests as being a humanoid race of being, they are covered in thick white (or gray) fur. The are said to be 10 to 12 feet tall and weight several tons. They resemble humans in their face. They are said to be an ancient and supernatural race (much older than Man). They are trusted with The Truth of All Things . Because of Man's greed for this knowledge The Yeti shun Man (to a point that they have no problems killing the wayward human in their territories). Some say The Yeti has a limited power of speech (other none at all). Many feel The Yeti is an off-shoot of natural primate/human evolution (a member of The Missing Link Club if you will). Whichever course of thought you take, unusual evidence has been offered for their existence. While footprints abound (15-25 inch examples) hair, flesh and even skeletal remains have been brought forward to prove The Yeti's existence. So popular was it in the late 19th and early 20th Century, MANY expeditions were conducted to prove The Yeti. The now infamous term The Abominable Snowman came to light (and spurred many stories about these creatures). Other more grounded types identify Yeti as a form of large Skunk Ape or other yet undiscovered Primate.
