From a VERY Ancient English Folk Tale, ‘’Yernagate’’ was said to be a Giant tasked with protecting the Forests around Hampshire, England. His claim to fame in The ‘’Mater of England’’, is that He allowed a Man to collect wood from His Forest (providing He did not take TOO much). When Yernagate came back, He found The Man had taken almost all of the Forest as wood. So angry, Yernagate picked up the transgressor and threw Him so high in to the sky, that he landed on The Moon. Hence, this is way The ‘’Man in The Moon’’ Legend became known (at least in Medieval England). As Yernagate grew old (even so that He was over 1,000 years of age), He decided to lay down to ‘’take a nap’’. Covering Himself with Earth, this this mound of Earth became  known (and still is) ‘’Yernagate’s Nap’’. His Legend further states, that IF His Forest ever needs Him for defense, He will re-awake……………
