A Mythos of The Navajo Native Americans, The ‘’Yenaldooshi’’ was akin to A ‘’Skinwalker Demon’’. As we have seen, Skinwalker mythology can be found in many Native American Cultures, are associated with ‘’Evil Shaman’’ (Medicine Men), who wish to ‘’control all facets’’ of The Supernatural – so much so, that they ‘’become’’ a ‘’Demon’’ themselves. The Yenaldooshi were Female Witches who had the same philosophy, but would ‘’turn into’’ Coyotes. As such, they would prowl for Human flesh (in particular body fat), which was important for their ‘’spells’’. The Yenaldooshi would wear ‘’enchanted hides’’ from Coyotes. After a series of rituals – the ‘’skin’’ would transform it’s wearer into the animal. A ‘’warning sign’’ that a Yendaldooshi was active in an area, was the sudden onset of illness or disease within a Tribe. Once rooted out, The Witch was killed – preferably BEFORE She could ‘’change’’ into a Coyote.
