‘’Yantra’’ is a classification of Talisman which is Tattooed onto the flesh of an Adherent of Hindu-Buddhism. Dating back to the 8th Century BC and still ‘’worn’’ today – these skin illustrations follow a strict code of placement and usage. Normally, Yantra’s are placed on the back of a body (neck or back). They are either completely obscured or very little is seen. A combination of Pali (Indo-Aryan) phrasings or specific symbolism is used. The Yantra is worn for protection against Evil, or to ‘’encourage’’ strength, charism and Good Fortune (providing it is not rooted in monies). In some Modern forms, jewelry featuring Yantra symbolism is worn, but many state that protection from Evil is NOT as ''strong'' as Tattooed versions.
