From The Amazon River Basin, the Myths of Yacuruna are several thousands years old. Originating with deep Jungle Tribes, they are said to resemble Human Beings. The have scales AND hair. They are also most described as having backwards feet. Some variation have The Yacuruna with their heads facing backwards instead. Normally living underwater (as with Fin Folk), they are said to have elaborate Cities. They like to capture Human women and take them back to their Cities for breeding purposes . They have the ability to disguise themselves as normal River People (fishing or hunting).
