According to an Ancient Thai Belief – ''Ya Sang'' was a form of ''Black Magic'' – specifically created to inflict harm to others. Practitioners were probably Herbalists with expert knowledge of plants (botany) and how various species can kill. Becoming ''Poison Masters'' – Ya Sang Practitioners used such to inflict severe stomach and gastro-intestinal ailments which caused death – slowly.
