Mayan Mythology (Mesoamerican) – have a legend about ‘’Xkeban’’. Said to be a wrathful Female Spirit who preyed on Men (or Women). Luring Them into ‘’compromising situations’’, Xkeban would then ‘’syphon Their Souls’’, leaving a ‘’hollow husk’’ behind. In Ancient History, She was a beautiful but shunned Woman in competition for a Village’s adoration. When She was rebuked, She died of starvation (for no one would feed or shelter Her). In revenge, Xkeban’s Spirit remained on Earth as a type of Wrath. It is said that either Man or Woman needed to be wary of ‘’going with’’ any ‘’strange, but incredibly beautiful’’ Companion.
