''X'' From Outer Space'' is a 1967 Japanese ''Giant Monster'' Science-Fiction Film with cashed inn on The UFO and space Exploration craze at the time. ''X'' begins with Scientists from Earth observing increased UFO (Alien) Activity on The Planet Mars. A Team is dispatched to investigate. Landing on Mars and finding nothing, an Alien Spaceship secretly ''sprays'' The Earth Craft with a mysterious spore. When The Ship returns to Earth, The Spore begins to interact with Our atmosphere and presto, ''X'' is born. A Giant Lizard-like Creature, X (known as Guilana now), begins to destroy Tokyo (of course). The Creature feeds on Nuclear material and can ''change'' into a giant Ball of Flame. Scientists (in the nick of time), invent an isotope that causes X to shrink back into a Spore. Launched into deep Space, X is neutralized....for now. Never released into American Theaters (only early 1970s Television), X was never used again in Japanese Kaijin Films.
