An interesting Feudal Japanese tale is that of The Wanyudo. Daimyo was a powerful Feudal Leader in 18th Century Japan. Seconded only by The Shogun, he was an excellent Administrator and organizer, but a lousy human being! He delighted in torturing people who offended him (or perhaps refused to follow his rules). His favorite game was to tie his victims to the wheels of Ox Carts. The victim would be drenched in flammable liquids set on fire, and rolled down a hill!. Eventually Daimyo was overthrown (and assassinated). However, his evil did not end there. He was cursed to wander the Countryside, nothing more than a large spectral wheel (glowing with Hellfire). Daimyo's head is now the central Wheelhub, with burning spokes radiating outwards. His screams are said to be terrifying. He rolls through the land seeking any soul to trap and take to Hell. He is also said to be one of the Guardians of The Gates of Hell.
