 Eastern Slavic by origins, The Vodyanov where said to be water-dwelling Spirits Often seen as fat and blob-like, they were also apparently only Male in species type. All of their body hair is Green. Said to have been the Spirits of unbaptized Human men, often suicides and disappearances were blamed on The Vodyanov. Often local populaces had to have their nearby water sources blessed - to cause The Vodyanov to leave. Other variations of the story have people leaving them offerings of fish with pleas to leave.
