An Icelandic Magical ''Stave'' (Talisman) – The Vegvisir (''Sign Post'') dates back to the 9th Century AD. The symbol was often carved into Ships pr placed on Warrior Armor as a means of ensuring that the Bearer would ''never become lost'' (even if One's journey was unknown). A series of (5) linear extensions ending in different forked ''barbs'' was drawn. The style is indicative of many such Staves.
