Another Sumerian Demon, The Utukku were Demons who had escaped from The Underworld and roamed The World. They took human-like form, but with the head and mane if a Lion. There were "Good and Evil" Utukku. They could only be summoned by a High Priest. They were invoked to protect Rulers or to fight on their behalf on War. The Utukku ate animal livers, drank blood and also consumed "sweetmeats".
