The South African Zulu Tribe (among a few others), believe in a conept known as ''Ufufunyane'' or sometimes called ''Saka'' by The Kenyans. The belief is that a person who is possessed by Demons begins to act in bizarre manners. These are sudden trances and paralysis, often for many hours. So too, blindness is also seen. Finally, victims of Ufufunyane often ''speak'' in ''unknown tongues'' or as has been documented by Shaman, ''speaking in the voice of a dead relative''. These ''voices'' are said to be a Demon ''mimicking'' the dead relative. Such ''signs'' will warrant many different treatments, often consisting of toxic herbal plants, meant to ''drive out'' The Demon. ''If''' the victim ''survives'' – He or She is seen as ''worthy'' of the ''effort''.
