Tsukuyomi No Mikoto

An unusual Ancient Japanese piece of Mythology, ‘’Tsukuyomi-No-Mikoto’’ is (or are, depending) – a type of ‘’Lunar Deity’’. Very little is known of it’s original Cult of Veneration. Some versions of The Legend is that ‘’Mikoto’’ is Male, other Female and still others -Unisex. Most believe that ‘’They’’ are many Deities combined to form a particular classification of ‘’Moon Worship’’ Beliefs. The origin mythos deals with Mikoto escaping from The Underworld and hiding from capture (return) in the Night Sky as The Moon.
