The primary Antagonist in the ''Tremors'' Film Series, The species known as ''Graboids'' are a form of massive, flesh-eating Earthworm-like Creatures. First seen in the 1990 Sci-Fi/Horror film ''Tremors'', there are (6) Films (with one more on the way, it seems). It is stated that the fictional Graboid's were based on the Mongolian Death Worm legends. The Creatures can grow to 30-feet in length and weigh up to 30-tons as well. Their ''beak'' is a quad-shaped opening made of bone and hide. It is used to dig underground and creates a form of propulsion as a result of turning it's body in a spinning motion. The Graboids have no eyes, but react to motion (sensing even the slightest of movements). Once homed in, The Creature smashes up through the ground to snatch it's prey and drags it's underground to feed. They are found in The Desert. Each film added a particular trait to The Graboids. From ''Shriekers'' (the sound some species make), to ''Queens'' Capable of mass producing more young, even though a Herd is killed off (by different methods as well), ''One'' always survives.
