From The Ancient Greek, ''Theurgy'' is a term used to describe the conducting of a specific Ritual (Ceremony), designed to invoke the ''presence'' of a Deity or Spirit. This is accomplished as a means of promoting ''self perfection'' and the ''centering of Oneself'' with the particular Discipline being used. Dating to perhaps the 6th Century BC, Theurgy is still ''practiced'' today in many World ''Magical Religions'', and is key in The Occult Belief.
